About us


Welcome to our cocktail bar situated near the marina, the hotspot for trendy
people in Blankenberge.

Inspired by cities like New York, Barcelona and Cape Town, l’Apereau gives you the vibes of an international cocktail bar. Since our opening we have the ambition to bring a new cocktail drinking culture to the Belgian coast. 
We are achieving this with consistent use of fresh and seasonal ingredients, super-premium brands and the craftsmanship of our bartenders, without compromises. 
Therefore we would like you to experience and indulge these cocktails, selected especially for you.

Drinks


On this page you can find some of our “Signature Cocktails”, which are created by our very own bar manager Jeroen Van Hecke.  Jeroen studied at cateringschool Spermalie in Bruges.

He did internships in a couple of Steigenberger hotels in Germany. His first work experience was as “Maître d’Hotel” in ‘t Laurierblad, a one michelin star restaurant situated in Berlare.

After working at a restaurant, Jeroen worked on luxury cruises for a year.  While working on these cruises, he travelled to Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia, those were followed by Great-Britain, New Zealand and Australia !

After travelling around the world, Jeroen started working in Antwerp and Cadzand. In 2006 he begin his career at cocktail bar l’Apereau where he leads a team of motivated bartenders. As a team they are working hard to stay at the top of the Belgium bar scene.

Blackberry/Lavender

Tequila works harmoniously with lavender.  We pimp this one with beautiful blackberries in season.


egg/tropical

This bird came right out the tropics.  It’s a marriage of Dutch advokaat, coconut, sage, pineapple & cacao.


“red berries & balsamico” southside

A match made in heaven: strawberries & balsamico with a twist of pepper.  We add some redcurrant & raspberry cider to make it a nice cooler for the summer evenings.


“Havana” cobbler

During my trip in Cuba I wanted to create a complex easy drinking refreshing cooler.  I came up with this, hope you will enjoy it ; )


“Mezcal & chili” margarita

Mexico in a glass!  All products are sourced in this amazing country: mezcal, chili, lime, cacao & agave.
